BR2-33: Kings and Queens of Britain
This is the story of Boudicca, Alfred, Henry Ⅷ and many other kings and queens, some great, some not so great. Each of them changed the history of Britain. But to become queen in 1588, like Elizabeth Ⅰ, was a very different things to becoming queen in 1953, like Elizabeth Ⅱ. They have the same name but the job is very different. This book tells us just how it has changed.I read 'Kings and Queens of Britain.' I learned about it in the class of the Britain history in KGU, so I can also understand. The book has 3200 words and 10 chapters. The average sentence length is 24 words. It takes me to read more times. It is difficult to read a little. There are many the name of a person and a place names, so it is difficult too. Because these are different from Japanese one. Some pictures is in each of pages. The book was published by Oxford University Press in 1997, so Diana, ex-Princess of Wales is in a picture. She was so beautiful.

I read 'Natural Partners.' The book has about 600 words so it is easy for me to read. The average sentence length is about 13 words. And the book has many big pictures in each of pages like a magazine. The book has 3 chapters. These are 1. Natural Partners, 2. Natural Partners in the sea and 3. Natural Partners in the Insect World. There are many animals and plant's picture in this book. I like chapter 2. Natural Partners in the sea because these pictures which I have not seen before is very fantastic.Natural partners are animals or plants that live or work together to help themselves and each other.

I read ' Wonderful Water.' It is in Oxford Read and Discover series. The series has 4 levels. These are Level 3, Level 4, Level 5 and Level 6. Wonderful Water is Leval 3. Level 3 has 600 headwords. This series is non-fiction. The book has about 1300 words and an Introduction, 10 chapters. It has activites each of chapters in the ending of the book. We can review about the book. In addtion, the book has picture dictionary and two projects. The projects are very interesting things. The projects are 'My water diary' and 'Water in my county.' We keep a water diary in My water diary to check the number of times that we drink water, flush the toilet, take showers and brush our teeth in our lives. If I have a time, I want to try doing it!

I like chapter 1 the best of all chapters because there is a picture about the Dead Sea. I see it on TV many times but I have never been there. I want to go and floating there! (198/ 11310 words)

Civil war and 12. The death of Arthur. Each of the beginning of chapters has a simple questions and each of the ending of chapters has simple questions too. But the ending of chapter's questions are more difficult than the beginning's ones. So I think the book looks like a text book which I used when I was a junior high school student. The ending of the book, there are many information about this story. For example, these are history about Britain and the Arthurian myth. In addition, there are many vocabulary, questions and crossword puzzles. These are not related to the text of a book, but we can enjoy to learn English.
The King Arthur is famous person. He was active in the end of 5 century to the beginning of the 6 century in Britain. But nobody knows the Arthur's story is true. (341/11112 words)

Beginner level has about 600 basic words. And the book has fewer pictures than Starter level. It has 2000 words. The each of sentences is not long. The average of sentence length is 11 words. Before I read this book, I didn't know '£' means pond. So we can learn about culture from the book. (116/ 10771 words)
